Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn has been an actress for more than 20 years. Her most well-known role is her part as Skyler White in the AMC drama series Breaking Bad for which she was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in an Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. In addition to playing Martha Bullock and Jean Ward as well, she was a part of The Practice. Anna Gunn began acting as an elementary school student as a child in Sante Fe New Mexico. The family moved to Ohio and she continued her passion for the theatre. She attended the British American Drama Academy and took classes in theatre through Northwestern University. Anna performed in Chicago's theater for several years, before attempting TV and movie roles. Anna was chosen to play Arden on Down the Shore in the 29-episode series Down the Shore. She continued to appear as a guest star in a number of television shows and films including Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue until the late 90's when she was cast in a role that she reprised as Jean Ward in The Practice. Martha Bullock played two full seasons on Deadwood, which was filmed in the mid 2000's. Skyler was the character she played in her Breaking Bad role from 2008. Sully and Deadwood were also the highlights of her acting career. Gunn was also in the David Schwimmer directed production Sex With Strangers. The actress, in 2022, also appeared in a series of podcast of audio plays called"Numbered Days. The love story between Walter White and his wife Skyler is often the backbone of the story in Breaking Bad with the strained connection between them and eventually its demise mirroring the same arc of Walter White's final years of his life.
